Rips & Tips

Tips
In college, the newly independent roam free in the immense limits of the human experience. Here's some words of wisdom that I have lived to tell.

And the envelope please..

  1. Season Football Tickets! I am telling you, I don't care if you're a fan or not (but at such an amazing school like UF, how could you not?) BUY THOSE TICKETS. There is no greater college experience than getting decked out head to toe in school colors and cheering on the talented atheletes of your school. Plus, they are a gold mine. I am in no way, shape, or form promoting the scalping of tickets, but all's fair in the game of supply and demand. There's a limited number of tickets out there and an ample quantity of demanders, so you do the math. (Thank you Dr. Mark Rush!)
  2. Take a Computer Course! You can NOT get away from the boom of technology that envelops our everyday lives. Sign up for your college account and register yourself for an Internet Overview class such as "Navigating the Internet". Trust me, my computer experience was chat rooms and checking my email and look at me now. This site would never exist, had it not been for that course. I recommend finding a patient classmate who has a little bit of computer experience to help ease you in and soon you'll find that HTML coding is not as hard you might think.
  3. Get involved on Campus! Whether you like to play water polo, want to meet other students in your major, or want to join a professional or greek Sorority or Fraternity, there is an organization for YOU! I made the decision to join a sorority as a means of meeting other people and helping me adjust to college life. It's one of the best decisions I've made and I know it's not for everyone but it's just a great way to make college a home away from home.
